Among other celebrities attended the fanmeeting which titled The Present are Jang Dong Gun and Kim Dong Wan, his co-star in the 2004 movie Spin Kick. He even sings 3 songs for the event! Can he sing? The only time I listen to his singing was during the Noraebang (karaoke) scene in My Name Is Kim Sam Soon and it didn't impress me much.

Idol groups going into acting is becoming the trend.
Singers doing both music and acting is not new anymore. Recently idol group members are coming out in dramas.
The drama 'King of Study' is going to air after SBS Tazza and members of 2AM, 2PM, SHINee are possible candidates for the main characters. This drama is about 5 highschool students and things that happen to them.
A SBS Drama staff said "Only an actor who is an actual student can express a student's character well. We were looking for a new face and thought of idol group members. Groups these days get training in acting before they debut so we are not worried about their acting skill. "
Besides them Big Bang's Top and SS501's Kim HyunJoong is appearing in a drama soon. Top debuted in KBS 2TV I am Sam last year and in the drama 'Iris' with Lee ByungHun he is playing a killer. Kim Hyunjoong was casted as Rui for KBS2TV 'Meteor Garden/Hana Yori Dango' which will air in December. Kim Hyunjoong is just waiting to film the drama.
TVXQ member YoungWoong Jaejoong is also appearing in Korea-Japan drama 'Postman of Heaven' as the the male lead.
Besides them SNSD's Yoona, Super Junior's Kim Heechul, Kim Kibum, Choi Siwon, Shindong etc...came out in SBS Golden Bride, MBC Choonja's Happy Events, KBS2TV Precious Family and 'Single Papa is Dating.'
Regarding the increase of idol stars going into acting, a PD said "When looking at them on the acting side they are on the same level as new actors. And since they are already loved by the public they will help the drama."

Mentor Entertainment Sues Lee Joon Ki for Breach of Contract,
On the 28th of September, Lee Joon Ki’s talent agency, Mentor Entertainment, brings Lee Joon Ki and his manager to court for breach of contract and demands a compensation of 500 million won.
In the details submitted to the court, Mentor Entertainment claimed that there was an agreement with Lee Joon Ki that he was not allowed to sign contracts with other companies within the 5 years with Mentor. However in November last year, Lee Joon Ki and his manager Kim, setup a new company secretly. They have used the new company to gain contracts and profited more than 1 billion won in the process. Mentor demanded 500 million won compensation from Lee Joon Ki and for him to stop all his commercial activities till the end of the contract.
Lee Joon Ki’s manager rebutted Mentor Entertainment’s claims. He said, “Mentor was the one who breached the contract in the first place. They have been delaying the pay for Lee Joon Ki since last year. We have already submitted the court application in February to renounce the contract between Lee Joon Ki and Mentor Entertainment”.
Neither side seems willing to relent at this moment. Therefore a court case is inevitable.
Super Senior member Yesung will lend his husky vocal cords to the OST song “Love Hurts A Lot” (사랑 참 아프다) for the SBS drama “Tazza: War of the Flowers” (타짜) starring actors Jang Hyuk, Han Ye Seul, Kang Sung Yun, and Kim Min Joon.

Eun Ji Won Makes Comeback After A Year
Eun Ji Won plans to cause a commotion in the entertainment world in October. Eun Ji Won announced that he is currently in the process of working on a new album which will be released in October. This marks the singer’s comeback a year after his last release, “Love, Death, Introspection (사랑死랑思랑)” last year.
Eun Ji Won is certain he will go ahead with the release in October even though the title track is still being decided on. He will be confronting fierce competition with top stars Dong Bang Shin Gi, Wonder Girls and Girl’s Generation who are also making their comeback in October.

DBSK Leader Uknow Yuhno was on his way to work when he was followed by a group of fans. While on the phone Yuhno tried to cross the streets.

Shocking news! A member of a girl-group filed a rape case against the president of a entertainment company today.
This unnamed 23 year old victim was raped by a 48 year old man, who also runs an entertainment company in Korea. The man in question initiated the contact and promised the singer that he would revive her career, only to rape her when they met for the first time and twice more after that. Not only did he violate her body three times but this sick old man asked the singer to send nude photos via her cell phone.
As usual, the defendant is denying the accusations, but what a sad glimpse of what actually goes on behind closed doors in the entertainment industry. Kudos to the unnamed singer who stood up for her rights and took action to bring justice.

JYP Entertainment announced on 22nd September, “After ‘Tell Me’ which is a dance pop song of the late 80s and ‘So Hot’ which is the a synthpop of the early 80s. ‘Nobody’ is a Motown style from the 6-70s, the 3rd complete part to the series.”
WonderGirls also encountered a leakout of the song just a day before the official release of ‘Nobody’ on 21st September. The company is still investigating on the source of the leakout.
Meanwhile, WonderGirls will returning home for America on 25th and will be having their comeback stage on 26th September on KBS 2TV Music Bank.

There was no change at the top of the Korean B.O. chart as CJ Entertainment's lightweight historical action drama "The Divine Weapon" held on to top spot and "Mamma Mia" stayed second.
Result was the third consecutive weekend win for "Weapon" which added 425,000 admissions or $2.67 million from 568 screens, delivering a cume of $18.6 million from 2,957,000 admissions to date.
"Mamma Mia!," a bridesmaid for the third week, this time came close to "Weapon" with 413,000 admissions or $ 2.60 million from 488 screens. Its cume now stands at 2.65 million admissions and a cume of $16.6 million.
Local, holiday season pics "Rough Cut" and "Our School E.T." ranked at No.3 and No.4 respectively in their second weekends. "Rough Cut" added 235,000 admissions or $1.4 million for distributor Studio 2.0. Made on a budget of only $650,000, it is understood that the pic moved into profit in its first week. After 11 days on release it has garnered $5.5 million from 879,000 admissions on 367 screens.
"Our School E.T.," handled by SK Telecom, dropped sharply. It took 120,000 admissions or $756,000 on 360 screens, taking total gross to $3.5 million from 570,000 admissions to date. That is the lowest total for SK Telecom since it started movie distribution in January this year. Its previous titles "Once Upon a Time in Corea," (ed: sic) "L: Change the World," "Three Kingdoms" and "Death Bell" all performed strongly.
Among the new releases, Kiefer Sutherland-starrer "Mirrors" ranked at No.5 with 109,000 admissions or $686,000 from 248 screens for 20th Century Fox. Pic is the remake of Korean horror film "Into the Mirror."
"The Children Of Huang Shi", which is another U.S. project related with China, took the sixth place with 71,000 admissions or $447,000 on 278 screens handled by CJ Entertainment.
One more local film entered the chart this weekend. "Loner", a low-budget horror pic by helmer Park Jae-sik ranked seventh with 45,000 admissions or $287,000 for the distributor Sungwon I Com. Pic is the story of a high school girl who cuts herself off from society and brings about scary accidents.
